Mark Percy, Chartered Advisor in Philanthropyâ
Principal, Next Generation Strategies LLC

Mark divides his time between serving as Executive Director of Kay Family Foundation, a leading private foundation in Orange County, CA (www.kayff.org), and managing an independent, conflict-free philanthropic advisory firm, Next Generation Strategies, LLC (www.NGS-LLC.com).

He works closely with wealth holders to clarify their giving decisions in light of their core principals, values, and goals. The process enables them to realize greater meaning and satisfaction in their philanthropy, achieve greater impact, and if they desire, benefit their family through unified giving.

Mark has served in many non-profit leadership capacities over the past two decades.  Currently, he is a founding organizer and member of the Orange County Chapter of Advisors in Philanthropy and is Chairman of its Education Committee.  He is also a member of the Orange County Community Foundation’s Veterans Services Initiative, which focuses on finding jobs for post-9/11 vets in OC.

Mark received his BA from Stanford University, and MBA from Yale University.  From 1986 to 2008 he held executive positions primarily in privately held firms—including president of a family business that strategically empowered US companies, including AT&T, Motorola, Westinghouse, and United Technologies, to expand business in emerging market economies.  For 4 years he lead the government business development initiatives of a Fortune 500 corporation.

Other affiliations: C.S. Lewis Fellow (Washington DC – class of 1999), OC Master’s Program graduate (2010), and active participant in the OC Barnabas Group since 2008.
