Office/Clerical
Do you have a knack for spreadsheets, organizing, or just doing whatever is needed? Then this is the position for you! We always have projects that need extra hands and feet. If you have a couple of hours here or there, then we would love to have you on our team.
Events
Special events take a lot of time, energy and planning. Come join us in making these events memorable.
LA Marathon – Every year since 1995, Child S.H.A.R.E has been an official charity of the LA Marathon. Over 90% of Marathon team sponsorship funds go directly to find and support foster and adoptive families. Run, walk, or bike the marathon on behalf of Child S.H.A.R.E. If running, biking or walking isn’t your thing, don’t worry. You can still participate by directly sponsoring or raising sponsorships for participants.
Annual Gala – This Fall event raises over $200,000 to help abused and neglected children. Participate by helping us solicit a wide variety of in-kind donations for our silent and live auctions or help organize this elegant evening by joining our Gala Guild or organizing the details of this event.
Villa Del Sol – Come be a part of this spirited evening of fundraising, gourmet food and lively entertainment.
Supply Drives
Many times when foster children join a Child S.H.A.R.E. family they arrive with only the clothes on their backs. Child S.H.A.R.E. supports the foster family by providing a Welcome Gift for each child.
This Welcome Gift is full of tangible things that the child can claim as her/her own and feel a sense of permanence and security even as her/her life changes in the future. Help organize a supply drive to collect these different items.
Welcome Gifts
Many abused or abandoned children arrive at their new foster home with few or no personal possessions. Welcome Gifts are our way of saying, “You are special!” to a child who feels alone. You can be involved hands-on by helping assemble these kits or delivering one to a new foster family.
